Deletion runs immediately — there is no waiting period, no email confirmation step, and nothing to cancel. When it finishes, the app returns to the start screen as a brand-new, unregistered user.

Because nothing personally identifying is tied to your account, we can only find it from details you supply. Please include as many of these as you can:
We complete verified requests within 30 days and reply by email to confirm. If the details provided aren't enough to identify a single account, we'll write back and ask rather than delete the wrong one.

No. Deletion is permanent and takes effect right away. There is no grace period and no way to recover a deleted account, its nickname history, or its stars — starting again creates a completely new anonymous account.
