Deletion happens immediately: your account record, any matching-queue entry, and the block records you created are removed, and the app returns to the start screen. No email or waiting period is involved.
Because there is no username, email, or phone number attached to your account, we can only locate it using details you provide from inside the app at the time you request deletion — for example, your in-app nickname together with the approximate date/time you last used the app, or (most reliably) a screenshot of your Settings/profile screen if the app shows an account identifier there. We will confirm by email once your account and its associated data have been deleted, and aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
| Data | Deleted? |
|---|---|
| Your account record (nickname, gender, interests, matching preference, age-gate flag) | Yes |
| Any active matching-queue entry | Yes |
| Chat history you're currently part of | Yes (chat history is also short-lived by design — see our Privacy Policy) |
| Block records you created | Yes |
| Reports you filed, or that were filed against you, and any preserved evidence | Retained where required for safety/legal compliance (e.g., active moderation review, or content already escalated to NCMEC/law enforcement), per 18 U.S.C. §2258A and equivalent regional obligations. This is the one exception required by law even after a full account-deletion request. |
Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) ends your local session immediately, but does not by itself delete your account or data from our servers — submit a deletion request as described above to remove that data.
The self-service path lives at Settings → Delete my account inside the app and deletes the same data listed above, immediately. The email process remains available for anyone who has already uninstalled the app, and is honored on the same terms.
